Your TOK Essay counts for two-thirds of your final TOK IB score.  It is written in response to one of six prescribed titles which are published in the fall.  Your essay has a 1600 word limit.  Your essay is externally assessed.  

Your TOK Presentation counts for one-third of your final TOK IB score.  You will choose a real-life situation to review in light of TOK Areas of Knowledge and Ways of Knowing.  Your presentation is internally assessed.  

This guide explains the purpose and procedures of TOK.  It is written for teachers, but is a good source to answer any questions you might have.
